Alliott Group, the world’s sixth largest multidisciplinary alliance of professional services firms, has expanded its reach to China’s legal market. The appointment of Top 25 law firm Chance Bridge Partners in Beijing continues the alliance's recent growth in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region which has included expansion into Bangladesh (Old Bailey Chambers) and Singapore and Malaysia (to be announced imminently).

Chance Bridge Partners’ appointment fulfils the alliance’s need for a strong and dynamic legal presence in one of the world’s largest economies. For their part, Chance Bridge Partners has expanded their ability to provide legal (and accounting) services to 70 countries worldwide, meeting their need to provide global reach to their highly internationalised client base.

Founded in 2011, the firm’s Managing Partner Ms. Zhu Ning (‘Ning’) is a specialist in capital markets and cross-border investment and was recently chosen for the fourth year running as one of China’s elite 100 lawyers by the China Business Law Journal. Key areas for Chance Bridge Partners are capital markets and commercial disputes, but it also has a strong focus on cross-border investment and financing, corporate, compliance, real estate, intellectual property, financial derivatives and competition law.

With 23 partners and 56 professional and support staff, Chance Bridge Partners serves a wide range of local and international clients in the banking, securities, insurance, digital, infrastructure, construction and engineering, energy, real estate, manufacturing, and service industries. The firm’s professionals also conduct business in English, German and French.

Active in the IBA and LAWASIA and recognised in the past as a ‘Rising Law Firm’ by Thomson Reuters’ Asian Legal Business, the firm is ranked by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500, with the latter noting the firm’s ability to “help clients receive high quality legal advice at a competitive cost”.

Ning comments:

“We are proud to be Alliott Group’s first law member in China. Alliance membership provides the optimum route to achieving deeper cooperation with overseas law and accounting firms who can provide the legal support needed by our local and international clients who are expanding into different world regions. We are a young, energetic, and passionate team and this affiliation comes at the right time and will provide the right reach for our firm. We also look forward to helping member firms’ clients to develop their business in China.”

Vanessa Williams, Director at Alliott NZ Ltd in New Zealand and Chair of the APAC region comments:

“With the appointment of Chance Bridge Partners, we continue to make good progress with our membership development across the APAC region.
