The appointment of SKMN extends the independent Malaysian accounting firm’s international reach to 65 countries. Alliance members’ clients can now access accounting, tax and audit services in one of the ASEAN region’s largest economies.

The admission of SKMN in Malaysia gives Alliott Group a stronger foothold in the wider APAC region, with the alliance now bringing together 23 accounting and law firm members in 13 countries. Alliott Group’s worldwide alliance extends to 150 firms in 65 countries across the APAC, EMEA and Americas regions.

With 77 staff and with close to four decades in business, SKMN’s team offers a broad range of compliance and advisory services which range from audit (including Islamic audit) to corporate recovery, liquidations, restructuring and insolvency to M&A advisory. Further advice is rendered to clients in areas related to investment holdings, wealth management, property development, agrobusiness and the IT sector.

For its part, SKMN can now tap into the collective expertise of 150 like-minded, independent accounting and law firms across the globe, including thousands of skillsets across many practice areas and industries. With exclusive rights over the Malaysian territory, SKMN is positioned to receive referrals from the alliance’s members and can promote itself nationally as firm with the resources and connections required by international companies investing within and outside Malaysia.

SKMN Partner Mohd Noh Jidin, a former President of the Negeri Sembilan Malay Chamber of Commerce comments:

“We have arrived at a stage where we need a strong international partnership to create new opportunities for the firm and our clients in the global marketplace. Being associated with a Top 15 ranked international alliance elevates our firm to a level above our competitors.”

Giles Brake, COO of Alliott Group adds:

“SKMN join at an exciting moment in Alliott Group’s history. Three firms have joined the alliance in the APAC region in 2019 and we expect to announce further exciting news about our regional expansion in early 2020. We are delighted to welcome Mohd and his team in Malaysia and look forward to providing the support they need to internationalise their client base further in the years ahead.”
