US Expansion: The Big Goal for International Alliance After Impressive First Half Year Growth
Following significant growth in the first half of 2019, Alliott Group, one of the world’s largest and most collaborative international alliances of professional services firms, has its sights set on further membership growth in the United States.
With 15 new member firms joining (or committed to join) the alliance so far in 2019, including Los Angeles accounting firm RAMS, Alliott Group is experiencing a year of unprecedented growth. A new Executive Office team led by Giles Brake, COO, is taking significant steps to establish itself as the ‘go to business network’ for independent accounting, law and other strategically relevant service providers that have a passion for exchanging ideas, best practice and business.
“The pace of change in the professional services marketplace is overwhelming at times- firms know they must change, but often they don’t know how to,” comments Brake.
Providing extra firepower for mid-size firms
2019 has been a record year so far for Alliott Group with 10 firms joining in the first six months of the year in countries that include the United States, Germany, Morocco, Hungary, Kenya, Israel, Italy, India and Russia. Entering its 40th year in business and with US growth high on the agenda, the alliance recently hired Damien McMenamin as Head of Global Business Development. A US development trip will take Damien to many of the US’ key metropolitan areas from August 10-24 to meet with prospective new member firms, with interested firms invited to get in contact with Damien.

Brake adds:
“While we are unashamedly an ‘international business network’ focused on business development, with some of our CPA and law firm members in different parts of the world generating annual fees in excess of half a million dollars from Alliott Group sources, we are building out our value proposition for US CPA and law members beyond referrals to improved training, networking and development opportunities.”
“Our vision is to become a true multidisciplinary international business services network that will help our member firms to provide a comprehensive range of advisory services to clients and maximize cross referral opportunities between our members. There is a huge opportunity for US firms that want to join a group of action and collaboration, not words.”
