Biography
Rachel practises in the firm's Debt Products practice group. Rachel practised as a secured lending lawyer at a large, national law firm before joining the law group of RBC Capital Markets, supporting the derivatives solutions group. She left RBC for a fintech, which lends to small businesses, as their general counsel and VP Operations (risk, credit adjudication, loan admin) and ultimately became their Chief Operations Officer.
After the company's first public offering, Rachel returned to private practice. She has represented lenders and borrowers on cash flow and asset-based loans, securitizations and public-private infrastructure projects. Rachel prides herself on offering the kind of pragmatic advice she relied on at the bank and as a business operator.
