In an article in one of New Zealand's major Sunday publications (Sunday Star) titled 'Building Enduring Success', New Zealand accounting member Alliott NZ explains how they are partnering closely with their clients to meet the myriad challenges they face due to an increasingly competitive market and new requirements set out by the national government.

Emphasising the trust that needs to exist between clients and an accounting firm, partner Vanessa Williams refers to the "courageous conversations" that are often required.

"We become part of the team, an extension of the organisation," says Williams. As well as tax compliance and provision of valuable services such as CFO outsourcing, Alliott NZ has evolved its services successfully to encompass a wide spectrum of advisory services such as counselling clients on succession planning, business structure and growth strategy.

The firm, recently ranked for the second year running as one of New Zealand's Top 30 accounting firms, is also making a huge impact in its local business community in terms of helping business owners to apply new technologies that will digitally transform their businesses. Implementation of these technologies is, according to Williams, providing "deeper insights for decision support that can help future proof client businesses."

Williams adds:

"We are on the front line helping SMEs transform the way they do business as government legislation continually mandates that small businesses use digital systems of record."
